On the Romanian side, the ceremony was attended by Minister of Economy , Business and Tourism Radu Dinel Miruta and Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Ana Cristina Tinca, along with many leaders, representatives of ministries, branches, localities, businesses, research facilities, hospitals, schools... and numerous representatives of the Diplomatic Corps and the Vietnamese community in Romania.
In particular, this year's ceremony was honored to have the participation of high-ranking delegations of the National Assembly led by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, who visited and worked in Romania. In addition, the working delegation of the Ministry of National Defense led by Major General Pham Van Ty, Deputy Head of the National Committee for Search and Rescue, also attended the event. This affirmed Vietnam's determination to promote and strengthen strong multi-faceted cooperation with Romania, a traditional friendly country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh reviewed the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese people since September 2, 1945, affirming that the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, opened an era of independence, freedom and socialist construction.
Having overcome enormous challenges, Vietnam has successfully reunified the country, gradually implemented the Doi Moi process and today has risen to become the 32nd largest economy in the world, among the top 20 countries in international trade and one of the 10 fastest growing economies globally.
The Ambassador emphasized that 2025 is an important milestone, marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Romania. The two countries have coordinated to organize many practical activities, from cultural and tourism exchanges to parliamentary and economic cooperation. In particular, the Vietnamese Government's decision to exempt visas for Romanian citizens until 2028 will open up great opportunities to promote people-to-people exchanges and multifaceted cooperation.
The Ambassador expressed his belief that with joint efforts, the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Romania will continue to be deepened, reaching new heights in the coming time, promoting cooperation in all fields of politics, economics, trade - investment, education, culture - tourism, agriculture, labor cooperation, especially in new fields such as digital transformation, green energy, circular economy...

At the ceremony, State Secretary Ana Tinca affirmed that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Romania was built on the basis of trust and mutual respect and has been proven over time. Ms. Ana Tinca emphasized that the traditional relationship has been expanded at multilateral forums, Vietnam has always been one of Romania's most important partners in ASEAN "when sharing the values of promoting international law and a rules-based world order".
The Romanian Secretary of State shared that 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, a memorable milestone and an opportunity for the two states and governments to further strengthen the friendly relationship and promote comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in all aspects.
