Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the launch of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Party Committee and the Embassy of Vietnam in Australia, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Perth organized a fundraising ceremony to support people in provinces and cities in Vietnam who suffered heavy losses due to recent storms and floods.
With the spirit of mutual love, solidarity, national love and compatriotism, Party Secretary, Ambassador of Vietnam to Australia Pham Hung Tam, Consul General of Vietnam in Sydney Nguyen Thanh Tung, Consul General of Vietnam in Perth Nguyen Thanh Ha, together with the Party Committee and representatives of Party cells actively participated in supporting compatriots in the country who suffered damage and losses due to natural disasters.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam informed about the losses suffered by Vietnamese people in the country due to the storm and flood, and called on the staff of Vietnamese representative agencies, Party cells, associations and the Vietnamese community in Australia to promote the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other" to donate to support Vietnamese people in the country.
The Ambassador affirmed that all sharing and spiritual and material support are noble gestures, expressing affection and responsibility towards the homeland. This is also a practical action to help share difficulties, helping people in disaster-hit areas to soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
Contributions from groups and individuals will continue to be received until October 12, after which they will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promptly deliver to people in flood-affected areas, contributing to supporting relief work and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
