Voice of Vietnam improves training efficiency and fosters media skills

The Center for Training and Development of Communications Profession (VOVTC), established under Decision No. 572/QD-DPT dated September 4, 2003 of the General Director of the Voice of Vietnam , is assigned the task of developing plans and implementing training activities for civil servants, public employees and employees of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV).

Over 20 years of establishment and development, VOVTC has deployed and organized more than 400 training courses, conferences, and seminars for nearly 20,000 civil servants, public employees, reporters, editors, and workers of VOV and local Radio and Television Stations.

VOVTC has also coordinated with political academies and schools to open advanced and intermediate political theory training courses for civil servants and management leaders, as well as supplement and update training courses according to standards for leadership and management positions at the department and division levels and equivalent. Up to this point, 100% of civil servants and management leaders and managers have met the standards prescribed by the State.

Speaking at the ceremony, VOV Deputy General Director Vu Hai Quang praised the achievements that VOVTC has achieved in the past 20 years. Facing the new situation, VOV Deputy General Director Vu Hai Quang requested that VOVTC staff need to improve the quality and effectiveness of courses, meeting the increasingly high requirements for professional expertise of journalists and management staff of press agencies. Continue to coordinate with units in VOV, Vietnam Journalists Association, relevant schools and academies, to ensure good conditions for organizing training courses and professional development.

Closely coordinate with central departments and ministries to organize appropriate classes, training and development. Continue to build and improve the capacity of the Center's staff and lecturers. Continue to build and expand relationships with international organizations to enhance training, professional development, seminars and journalism research.
