Promote disbursement of public investment capital in the last months of the year

Attending the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Executive Committee of District 3 in leading the implementation of targets and tasks in the first 9 months of 2024.

In the coming time, he requested the Standing Committee and the Party Executive Committee of District 3 to strictly implement the conclusion of the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee at the 33rd Conference of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Executive Committee, term XI, on October 8. In particular, he emphasized proactively building the 2025 plan with the spirit of striving to carry out tasks and goals at the highest level, while preparing for two important contents.

That is to prepare for Party Congresses at all levels and promote patriotic emulation activities and movements, towards the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. Those patriotic emulation activities and movements need to be associated with the construction of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Le also highly appreciated the results of the district's public investment disbursement in the past 9 months. However, the public investment disbursement from now until the end of the year is still an important task, so the district needs to continue to pay attention to implementation and strive to complete the plan soon.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Le highly appreciated the activities to care for the social security of the people. Especially the timely mobilization of the District Fatherland Front Committee to share and support the northern provinces with more than 4.1 billion VND to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3.

Regarding the preparation for the next term congress, comrade Nguyen Thi Le suggested that the district focus on directing and leading the successful completion of the model congress; perfecting personnel work, focusing on arranging and assigning young and female cadres to appropriate proportions and positions.

In addition, the District also needs to overcome limitations in the work of developing new Party members. In addition, each Party Committee must proactively review and boldly handle petitions and letters, not allowing complaints and denunciations to remain close to the congress.

Previously, District 3 Party Secretary Nguyen Thanh Xuan reported that in the first 9 months of the year, the district's socio -economic development had many positive results. Total revenue from sales of goods and services is estimated to reach more than VND 294,000 billion, up nearly 15% over the same period; 2,307 new businesses have developed. The district's total budget revenue is estimated to reach more than VND 3,700 billion, reaching nearly 73% of the estimate.

By September 26, the district had also disbursed more than 71% of public investment capital. The district also carried out the compensation and site clearance project for the Ben Thanh - Tham Luong metro line 2 through the district, reaching more than 97% (111/112 cases).
