Thu Duc City People's Committee has just submitted a document to Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the proposal to renovate the space of the Saigon River bank area, Thu Thiem section.
The Saigon River bank landscape on the Thu Thiem side is proposed to be renovated due to its current shabby and polluted state. This area stretches from Ba Son Bridge to the roof of Thu Thiem Tunnel, about 800m long and 50m wide. The renovation of the river bank will give people more space to play and relax.

Thu Duc City People's Committee proposed 14 work items that need to be done such as: Building parking lots, multi-purpose community activity grounds, community activity areas, restrooms, planting sunflower fields...
The sunflower field has an area of 5,000 - 6,000 square meters, located behind An Khanh communal house (near the Saigon River). It is expected that this will be an ideal check-in place for Ho Chi Minh City residents, especially young people.
The parking lot planned to be built in this area has an area of 10,000 m2, located near the foot of Ba Son Bridge, the planned section for the construction of the Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Theater. The public restroom area has 8 stalls to meet the needs of residents and tourists.
