PC Quang Nam expects the maximum load capacity during the holiday to be 347.72MW (September 2, 2024), an increase of 9.0% over the same period in 2023 (319.01MW).

Accordingly, the company deploys methods to operate power sources and grids to ensure safety and reliability; prioritizes locations for festivals, political and cultural activities and people's needs during holidays; including considering the arrangement of backup generators.

The company organizes to strengthen leadership, mobile operations, and incident handling (24/7) during holidays; proactively reserves materials and equipment to promptly handle incidents; coordinates with localities at all levels to deploy plans to protect security, safety, and prevent fires and explosions for electrical works and grid operation locations.

In recent years, on the occasion of National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival in Quang Nam province, many incidents have occurred due to the glitter fireworks teams shooting onto power lines, affecting the power supply to customers.

To ensure safe operation of the power grid and prevent incidents during the National Day holiday on September 2 and the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024, the Power Companies under PC Quang Nam have focused on implementing many solutions. In particular, advising on written reports to the People's Committees of districts/towns/cities in the management area to direct relevant sectors to take measures to prevent the firing of glitter fireworks near the power grid during lion dance performances; organizing propaganda for people in many forms about the dangers that occur when using glitter fireworks near the power grid. Each unit strengthens the inspection and management of the operation of power lines and transformer stations; implements solutions to prevent power grid incidents, uses thermal cameras to check the joints of large load lines to detect and promptly handle defects that risk causing power grid incidents, ensuring reliable and stable power grid operation.
