Quang Nam Power Company Party Committee: Every success comes from solidarity

(QNO) - Promoting the spirit of solidarity, over the past years, the Party Committee of Quang Nam Power Company (PC Quang Nam) has led the unit to constantly innovate, strive to overcome difficulties, and excellently complete production - business, national defense - security tasks; effectively carry out the work of building the Party, mass organizations, grassroots democracy regulations; prevent corruption and waste; build corporate culture, and social work. The PC Quang Nam Party Committee was awarded the "Typical Strong and Clean Party Committee" flag by the Tam Ky City Party Committee for 5 consecutive years.

Successfully carry out all tasks

In line with the Resolution of the 22nd Quang Nam Provincial Party Congress, the Resolution of the 20th Tam Ky City Party Congress and the Resolution of the 14th Quang Nam Power Company Party Congress (term 2020-2025), over the past 5 years, the Quang Nam Power Company Party Committee has led the implementation of the political task of continuously ensuring electricity supply to serve socio-economic development, national defense, security and people's lives in the province. Electricity supply is proactive, proactive, contributing positively to improving the investment environment, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development, national defense and security in the province, including mountainous areas.

The company focuses on two key tasks: investing in expanding the power grid, especially electricity for industrial and commercial service development, building new rural areas, extending the power grid to remote and mountainous areas; and improving the reliability of power supply.

PC Quang Nam focuses on investing in expanding and upgrading the power grid, promptly meeting the needs of businesses; providing grid electricity to 100% of communes and 99.35% of households in the province.

Over the past 5 years, the company has always maintained a good growth rate, successfully completed annual and 5-year economic and technical targets, making an important contribution to the cause of socio-economic development, security and defense in Quang Nam province.

Total commercial electricity output in 5 years (2020-2024) reached 11,987 billion kWh, with an average growth rate of 8.58%/year. In 2024, the province's commercial electricity output reached 2,784 billion kWh, an increase of 1.36 times compared to 2019. Industrial electricity increased from 951.86 million kWh in 2019 to 1,249.5 million kWh in 2024, with an average growth rate of 5.03%/year, accounting for 47.51% in the structure of electricity users.

The power loss rate decreased from 4.69% in 2019 to 3.19% in 2024, an average decrease of 0.3%/year; in particular, the power loss target has reached the target of the 2020-2025 roadmap. The average power outage time by 2024 is 207.8 minutes/customer (Resolution of the 14th Party Congress of the Company set a target of 312 minutes/customer by 2024). The customer satisfaction target all exceeded the target; tax payment to the state was made in full and on time; investment and financial management ensured principles and savings according to the resolution's targets.

In customer service, there have been many significant improvements in service quality and processing time. The company has widely applied electronic invoices, diversified forms of collection through banks and deployed electronic electricity services, deployed electricity service provision on the National Public Service Portal to ensure the provision of public, transparent and easy-to-monitor electricity services. The change in thinking from electricity supply to customer care services, considering customers as the center of all electricity activities has created the beautiful business culture of PC Quang Nam "civilized, transparent and effective".

Linking corporate culture with social responsibility

Corporate culture has been maintained by the PC Quang Nam Party Committee and the profession for many years. Thanks to that, it has raised awareness among cadres and employees about love for the job, pride in the responsibility of ensuring electricity supply to serve people, businesses and care for the social community.

PC Quang Nam workers voluntarily contribute billions of dong each year to community security and social charity activities.

Along with promoting emulation movements and building corporate culture, the Party Committee and professional leaders, and unions launched a call for employees to actively participate in the movement of gratitude, social charity, taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers, building 25 gratitude houses (from 2020 - 2024) and supporting the sister commune of A Vuong to develop the economy - society in a sustainable direction, contributing to ensuring social security in the province.

Company leaders visited and encouraged workers on the occasion of Workers' Month, when responding to and overcoming consequences of storms, floods, heat waves, and holidays.

In addition, the Party Committee promptly directs the work of caring for the lives, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Every year, the company's leaders and the trade union have organized many visits to encourage workers in difficult circumstances, teams/groups in mountainous areas on the occasion of Workers' Month, Occupational Safety and Health Month, holidays, New Year...; organized many activities to improve the spiritual life of workers such as sports, arts, sightseeing, picnics...

In particular, the PC Quang Nam Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee on strengthening Party building and rectification. The implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW has been concretized by the Party Committee through emulation movements for creative labor; improving productivity, quality and efficiency of production and business; practicing thrift and combating waste.

PC Quang Nam has had many research topics, many initiatives and experiences applied to the fields of production, business and customer service, which have contributed significantly to increasing labor productivity, creating many conveniences for customers using electricity. Over the past 5 years, the company has recorded 80 initiatives, of which 47 initiatives were recognized at the corporation level; 19 creative solutions were recognized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Nam province and won 2 second prizes, 7 third prizes. The company was commended by the Provincial People's Committee for its achievements in having many initiatives that have brought efficiency in management and business operations, increasing labor productivity. The company's initiatives have been implemented in practice with a profit value of nearly 5 billion VND.

Mr. Luu Duc Loi - Party Secretary, Director of Quang Nam Electricity Company shared that the lesson learned over the years by the Party Committee is to do well in Party building work on all three aspects: ideology, organization, inspection and supervision. When the Party organization is strong, it will create internal solidarity and strict discipline; thereby promoting democracy, creativity and emulation movements, contributing to improving work efficiency. He affirmed: "Solidarity is the decisive factor for the unit to successfully complete all tasks".

From that orientation, the Party Committee of Quang Nam Electricity Company has closely followed and concretized the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, especially the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Company's Party Committee, to implement in all aspects of work. Thanks to that, management and operation activities have been in order and highly effective; political tasks in electricity supply have been well implemented.

After each period of dissemination and study of the Party's resolutions and directives, the Company's Party Committee develops and implements specific action plans for each collective and individual, closely following the actual situation of the unit. Thanks to the methodical and serious approach, over the past 5 years, the quality of the company's party members has been significantly improved. During the term, the Party Committee admitted 69 party members, exceeding 19 targets compared to the Resolution, bringing the total number of party members in the company to 341, accounting for 40% of the total number of cadres and employees.

People are the most important factor, deciding the completion of political tasks. This has been clearly identified by the PC Quang Nam Party Committee in Party work over the past years.
