Due to the impact of storm No. 11, from the night and early morning of October 6, Tien Yen commune, Dam Ha commune and some neighboring areas began to have winds of about level 5, level 6, gusting to level 6, level 7; intermittent light to moderate rain, average rainfall under 50mm. Localities continue to closely monitor the storm and storm-induced rain to promptly deploy response measures.

At the bridges crossing rivers and streams in Tien Yen (old) and Dam Ha (old) areas, barrier systems have been installed, ready to control and prohibit people and vehicles from passing if there is a flood due to storm circulation causing prolonged heavy rain.

Although the storm has begun to weaken on the mainland bordering Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China), the work of responding to the storm and especially the rain circulation after the storm is still being focused on by the localities in the old Tien Yen and old Dam Ha areas, without being negligent or subjective.

In Tien Yen commune, there is the Tien Lang dike system with a length of more than 4.8km, a 3m wide concrete surface, and the ability to withstand storms of level 6 to level 8; the dike has been reinforced with a 2.3km long concrete surface, and a stone embankment outside the dike; the remaining 2.5km has not been poured yet. Tien Yen commune has a plan to prepare sacks and packed sand to be ready to handle when floodwaters come from upstream.

Warning of heavy rains caused by storms and post-storm circulation that can cause flooding on the Tien Yen river system. All spillways across the river such as Tien Yen spillway, Long Thanh village spillway, Na Kieu spillway in Hong Phong village... have prepared barrier systems to control and prevent people and vehicles from passing when floods come.

In Dam Ha commune and neighboring communes, in order to quickly respond to floods and landslides that may occur due to storms and storm circulation, local authorities have reviewed and counted the number of weak and unstable houses in the area; developed plans to relocate households in unsafe areas to the headquarters of the People's Committee of the commune, old town, cultural houses, schools or other safe shelters.

In particular, Dam Ha is closely monitoring the developments of storms and floods caused by storms to be ready to deploy measures to ensure safety for the Dam Ha Dong Reservoir and dykes in the area.

Review plans, be ready to deploy forces and means to support search and rescue and overcome consequences when requested.
