Adjusting the completion time of Ben Moi bridge connecting Nam Dinh

The Ben Moi bridge project connecting Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces has been reported to have its completion date adjusted to before December 31, 2024, instead of in October as originally planned.

This afternoon (November 7), in an exchange with Giao Thong Newspaper, the leader of the Steering Committee for the project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways (phase 1) said that recently, the Ben Moi bridge project connecting the two provinces of Nam Dinh - Ninh Binh has been reported by the investor to the competent authority for consideration and adjustment of the completion time to December 31, 2024.

"According to the original plan, the project would be completed in October this year. However, over the past two months, affected by adverse weather, the construction has been slower than expected.

To date, the main bridge project has been completed. The Nam Dinh province approach road is completing the final stages. The Ninh Binh approach road is being paved with asphalt concrete, expected to be completed in November.

Based on the actual implementation situation, we have reported to the competent authority to adjust the project implementation time and complete the procedures to put the project into operation before December 31, 2024," the project management board leader informed.

Ben Moi Bridge belongs to the XL04 package of the project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways (phase 1), located on National Highway 38B, is a large bridge over the Day River in the territory of district Y Yen, Nam Dinh province and district Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh province.

The project has a contract value of nearly 361 billion VND. Of which, the main bridge section is more than 648m long (up to the end of the abutment) and is invested with a scale of 2 lanes for motor vehicles. The road at both ends of the bridge is invested with a width of 9m.
