Military Region 5 working delegation worked with the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command

(GLO)- On the afternoon of October 22, a working delegation led by Major General Hua Van Tuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5, had a working session with the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command on the results of implementing military, defense and democratic dialogue tasks in 2025.

According to the report at the working session, the military and defense tasks for 2025 have been deployed synchronously, comprehensively, with focus and key points by the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command, successfully completing the set programs and plans.

Accordingly, territorial sovereignty and security in border areas are maintained and strengthened; local political bases operate effectively and efficiently; and the masses trust in the leadership of the Party and the Army.

The provincial Border Guard strictly maintains combat readiness; proactively reviews and completes the system of documents and combat plans; organizes training and practice of natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue plans, and ensures timely handling of situations.

The unit has mobilized more than 1,000 officers and soldiers to support people in responding to storms and floods, searching and rescuing, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Besides, political and ideological education and Party building are focused on, contributing to raising the sense of responsibility of cadres and soldiers.

Concluding the working session, Major General Hua Van Tuong - Deputy Commander of Military Region 5 praised the results in performing military and defense tasks of the Provincial Border Guard in the past time. Immediately after the merger, the Provincial Border Guard Command urgently reviewed and completed the document system, ensuring compliance with instructions and regulations of superiors.

Major General Hua Van Tuong requested the Provincial Border Guard Command to regularly coordinate closely with relevant forces to maintain political security and social order and safety in the border area; handle incidents effectively and promptly, avoid being passive or surprised; step up propaganda work, and resolutely implement tasks and solutions to combat IUU fishing.

At the same time, focus on innovating and improving the quality of training and exercises; enhancing the capacity of command organization, combat advice and combat readiness of troops, meeting mission requirements in the new situation.
