In the context of livestream sales activities showing signs of slowing down after the controversy over counterfeit and fake goods, some businesses suddenly jumped into this field with high-value products such as real estate, cars, etc., quickly attracting great attention and interaction from customers.

Businesses compete to livestream to sell houses and cars

In early July 2025, Sunshine Group Joint Stock Company organized the first livestream auction of luxury real estate on Mini App Noble Go of the Noble App platform developed by this group. Right in the first broadcast, a luxury apartment at the Sunshine Green Iconic project was successfully sold for 5.5 billion VND.

Previously, on June 21, THACO AUTO also joined the trend by organizing a livestream on the company's two official TikTok channels. The program focused on introducing the two Kia New Seltos and Mazda CX-5 models, while providing promotional information and direct consultation to customers. The 2-hour broadcast attracted a large number of viewers, thousands of comments and many direct questions about the car's features.

Also in June, C-Holdings cooperated with BHS Group to organize a livestream to sell The Felix apartment project, an event with the direct participation of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong - General Director of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Joint Stock Company, and also Chairman of the Board of Directors of C-Holdings. The broadcast lasted 3 hours, attracting more than 151,000 views, more than 31,000 comments and 1.4 million likes. Notably, up to 1,200 guests left their phone numbers for consultation.

Talking to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong said that after the livestream, the business received more than 2,000 apartment bookings while the shopping cart only had more than 1,000 products, causing the entire project to quickly "sell out".

He also admitted that livestreaming can encounter negative comments, but emphasized that businesses need to learn to be open and convey positive information to create trust.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, the biggest advantage of livestream is cost savings. Businesses can reduce sales costs by more than 10%, which can be used to discount customers or reinvest. However, the decisive factor for success still lies in quality and prices that match actual needs. In the near future, Mr. Cuong said he will continue to apply livestream to real estate projects, including The Maison in the center of Thu Dau Mot ward (HCMC).

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tan, Marketing Director of Haravan (providing solutions for retail and e-commerce), assessed that the direct participation of business leaders in sales via livestream creates a strong effect, similar to the role of a KOL (internet influencer). Customers are more likely to trust when they hear commitments directly from the leader, and can interact, ask questions and receive answers immediately. This form helps save time, provides a visual experience of the product and creates opportunities to access exclusive offers.

However, Mr. Tan also warned consumers to research carefully before buying, to avoid falling into the FOMO (fear of missing out) mentality. In particular, only pay through official channels to avoid fraud and make sure the product is fully legal. On the business side, it is necessary to maintain transparency, ensure product quality and strictly control information to avoid legal risks or brand crises.

E-commerce expert Truong Vo Tuan believes that selling via livestream is opening up a new trend with great potential, especially for high-value products. However, he emphasizes that both sellers and buyers need to be careful. Buyers must pay attention to warranty policies, legality and transaction conditions, while businesses need to focus on building reputation, positioning their brands and developing sustainable relationships with customers.

According to experts, livestream will not completely replace traditional sales staff but complement them. This is a channel that helps increase consulting efficiency, expand customer base and enhance business reputation. However, if it is not controlled, follows trends and advertises too much, livestream can become a double-edged sword, negatively affecting the brand.
