Hanoi's retail and consumer service revenue increased by 12.9% in the first 9 months of 2025

Total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue in September is estimated at VND86 trillion, up 4.7% over the previous month and 14% over the same period last year. Of which, retail sales of goods reached VND52.4 trillion, up 3.7% and 11.1%; accommodation and food revenue reached VND13.8 trillion, up 8.7% and 27.2%; tourism revenue reached VND3.7 trillion, up 13.8% and 49.8%; other service revenue reached VND16.1 trillion, up 2.8% and 7.5%.

It is estimated that in the third quarter of 2025, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue will reach VND246.1 trillion, up 7.3% over the previous quarter and 14% over the same period last year, of which retail sales of goods will increase by 4.3% and 12%; accommodation and catering services will increase by 18.9% and 19%; tourism and travel will increase by 19.9% and 32.5%; other services will increase by 7.1% and 13.1%.

In the first 9 months of 2025, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached 702.2 trillion VND, up 12.9% over the same period last year.

Of which, retail sales of goods reached 441 trillion VND, accounting for 62.8% of the total and increasing by 12.3% (gems and precious metals increased by 28.7%; wood and construction materials increased by 14.9%; food and foodstuffs increased by 12.3%; petroleum of all kinds increased by 11.7%; garments increased by 11.4%; household appliances, tools and equipment increased by 10.1%; cars increased by 9.9%; other fuels except petroleum increased by 9.8%; other goods increased by 14.3%).

Revenue from accommodation and catering services reached VND99.3 trillion, accounting for 14.1% and increasing by 17.9% (accommodation services increased by 24.2%; catering services increased by 17.1%). Revenue from tourism and travel reached VND25.9 trillion, accounting for 3.7% and increasing by 25%.

Other service revenue reached 136 trillion VND, accounting for 19.4% and increasing by 9.5% (administrative and support services increased by 10.6%; real estate business services increased by 8.9%; arts, entertainment and recreation services increased by 8.8%; education and training increased by 8%; healthcare and social assistance increased by 6.9%).
