Promoting economic development strengths in Kha Cuu

After the merger, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Kha Cuu commune continued to promote the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, overcoming difficulties, successfully completing the goals and tasks set out in the Congress Resolution and promoting strengths to focus on local economic development.

Kha Cuu is a particularly difficult mountainous commune of the province, merged from 3 communes of the old Thanh Son district (Dong Cuu, Thuong Cuu, Kha Cuu), the commune is in the mountainous area, ethnic minorities account for a high proportion (especially in the old Dong Cuu, it is 97%). Over the years, the Party Committee, government and people of all walks of life in the commune have a tradition of solidarity, always maintaining and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities.

The Party and State's policies and guidelines for the development of ethnic minority mountainous areas and particularly disadvantaged areas have received investment attention and effective promotion. People's lives have changed a lot and have been improved both materially and spiritually.

Implementing economic targets, the commune's budget revenue by the end of 2025 is estimated to reach 9.42 billion VND, reaching 159.7% of the plan. Total social investment capital for 5 years reached 192 billion VND, exceeding the Resolution's target. Average income per capita is estimated to reach 35.7 million VND/person/year, reaching 111.25% of the plan, exceeding the Resolution's target.

During the term, the implementation of the commune's economic development tasks continued to grow well and achieved relatively comprehensive results, leading and directing the construction and effective implementation of agricultural and forestry production planning and plans. Prioritizing the development of key products with advantages of the commune, creating conditions for organizations and individuals to invest in implementing project models.

Strengthening the connection between enterprises and people in production, processing and consumption of products; applying technical advances and advanced technology in production management and product quality, contributing to increasing product value/ha of cultivated land.

The Forest Products Processing Company owned by Mr. Manh has created regular jobs for nearly 20 seasonal workers, with an average salary of 10-12 million VND/person/month.

Up to now, the commune has 31 industrial and handicraft production establishments, attracting and creating jobs for 290 regular workers and more than 230 seasonal workers. Effective management and exploitation of mineral resources, some traditional products with strengths of the commune such as wood processing and production are interested in investment and development by business households.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Manh - Director of Manh Giang Forest Products Processing and Processing Company, Ret area, Kha Cuu commune shared: Previously, I was a small business household that peeled wood, chopped wood... Realizing the potential and with the existing position in the locality, along with the facilitation of the local government, I boldly borrowed capital to invest in buying machinery and equipment worth nearly 5 billion VND to expand the production workshop.

In 2022, after having accumulated some capital, he continued to establish a company specializing in the production of plywood, veneer, plywood and other thin boards... Up to now, the company has created regular jobs for nearly 20 seasonal workers, with an average salary of 10-12 million VND/person/month, thereby contributing to improving people's lives and increasing their income.

The electricity sector has been invested in, meeting the people's living and production needs, the rate of households using the national grid has reached 100%. The commune currently has 8 businesses operating in the fields of trade, services, and exploitation; the quality of services and goods has gradually developed in a professional direction. The total retail sales of goods and services is estimated at 240 billion VND, increasing on average over 5%/year.

Along with that, Kha Cuu commune has also determined to develop agricultural production associated with consumption, build concentrated production areas, encourage livestock farming models according to VietGAP standards, and link with businesses to stably consume agricultural products.

Upgrade essential infrastructure, prioritize rural roads, repair central markets, and build cultural houses in degraded areas. Improve the environment, increase the rate of households using clean water, promote waste collection and sorting at source, install waste treatment systems at production facilities. Reduce poverty, increase income to support livelihoods, provide vocational training, promote agricultural extension, and access loans for people to expand production.

However, after the merger, Kha Cuu commune has a large area, the terrain is divided every time there is a flood, so there are still many difficulties such as the lack of synchronous traffic infrastructure, the main road from Van Mieu to Thuong Cuu has seriously degraded, some spillways have been eroded, causing danger to people and students when traveling, affecting the material and spiritual life of the people. The economy here mainly relies on agricultural - forestry production and livestock farming...

Many of the commune's main roads need to be upgraded and renovated to facilitate travel for people.

To promote economic strengths in the coming years, comrade Kieu Duc Manh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kha Cuu commune said: In the coming time, the commune will focus on perfecting the administrative apparatus in the direction of streamlining, efficiency, professional operation, serving people and businesses after the merger.

At the same time, proactively deploy solutions for socio-economic development, improve the quality of people's lives, especially in residential areas after the merger. In particular, in the new term, the commune focuses on the breakthrough: Developing community tourism associated with preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group, combining with building brands for traditional local specialties.

Mr. Ha Van Dung - Sinh Duoi area, Kha Cuu commune has invested heavily in developing the forestry profession, and up to now his family's life has had many positive changes.
