September 30, The Vietnam DroneSoccer Team – HDFPV made history in their first participation in the FIDA WorldCup 2025 International DroneSoccer Championship, held in Korea, when they won the Future Generations Award.
The FIDA WorldCup 2025, organized by the International DroneSoccer Federation (FIDA), is the world's largest tournament for drone soccer, bringing together more than 2,500 athletes from 33 countries and territories, with 33 national teams and 250 club teams.
The tournament consists of four main categories: International Division (INTL Class 20, Class 40), Club Division (Club Class 20, Class 40), Cracing, Super Pilot and demonstration events.

DroneSoccer Vietnam team – HDFPV includes young talents from secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Van Be, Nguyen Du, Tran Van On, Le Quy Don, Binh An, Hoang Hoa Tham and Tran Quoc Toan.
Despite many difficulties in training conditions and equipment, the members competed with great effort and creativity. With determination and creativity, the team achieved remarkable results.
In the International Group (INTL Class 20), the team entered the round of 16, playing a dramatic match with the Hong Kong team (China), ending with a close score of 16:19.
In the Club Class 20 group, the excellent team entered the round of 64, stopping before the Japanese team (the group champion), ranked in the top 32/192 club teams.
In particular, the Vietnamese team was honored with the Future Generations Award, honoring outstanding contributions in spreading DroneSoccer to the youth community.
This is the first time a Vietnamese team has received this prestigious award at the FIDA World Cup.
DroneSoccer is an innovative sport that combines traditional football and drone technology, using the sub-250g DroneSoccer Class 20 drone equipped with a spherical protective cage.
Drones are operated visually in a closed field (8m x 4m), requiring hand-eye-brain coordination, tactical thinking and teamwork. Each team consists of 5 members taking on the roles of Striker, Forward, Center, Sweeper and Keeper.
