Many people hunt for discounted tours at ITE HCMC 2025

On September 6, the last day of the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2025 (ITE HCMC 2025) became a crowded meeting place when the organizers opened the door for free entry for visitors. A large number of people and tourists flocked to the exhibition space to hunt for cheap tours, turning the travel booths into the "center" of the largest tourism festival in the country.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, ITE HCMC 2025 took place from September 3 to 6 with the theme "Sustainable tourism, vivid experiences", gathering more than 520 units and brands; 28 provinces and cities of Vietnam and more than 250 international buyers from 32 countries and territories. After four days, the event recorded nearly 30,000 visitors, more than 12,000 business appointments (B2B) and thousands of tours sold directly at the fair.

At many booths, people lined up to register for tours from morning to afternoon. Ms. Ngo Thi Minh, residing in Xuan Hoa ward, shared: "I just booked a 5-day tour to the Northwest for the whole family, only 8 million VND/person. The price is much cheaper than buying outside and I also got a promotional gift."

This year, in order to meet the increasing demand for tours, travel agencies such as Saigontourist, BenThanh Tourist, Focus Travel Group... have simultaneously launched many incentive programs. BenThanh Tourist alone announced a series of deeply discounted tours: European tours reduced by up to 5 million VND/person (from 69.99 million VND), Australian tours reduced by 3 million VND/person (from 51.99 million VND), along with more than 200 domestic and international tours with special incentives for fair visitors. Northeast Asia tours (Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan) are also chosen by many customers thanks to their good prices and rich services.

At the same time, Focus Travel Group attracted attention with 5 luxury river-sea tourism products including: Volga River Cruise (Russia), “Magical Winter” tour (Spain – Portugal), “Three Countries – One River” program (Austria – Hungary – Slovakia), “Yangtze Wonders” tour (China) and “Mekong Imprint” tour.

Mr. Dang Hieu Trung, General Director of Focus Travel Group, said that ITE HCMC is an ideal stage for businesses to introduce new products to tourists, while affirming the development orientation of luxury river and sea tourism in Vietnam.

A unique highlight of this year’s Fair is the first-ever prototype double-decker bus booth. Not only is it a place to connect B2B with more than 100 international partners from China, India, the US, Europe and the region, the vehicle has also become an attractive “check-in” spot for young people.

Mr. Nguyen Khoa Luan, General Director of Anh Viet Hop On Hop Off Vietnam Company, shared: "We want to create a different impression, promote the image of a more dynamic, closer and sustainable Ho Chi Minh City to a large number of tourists."

At the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2025, Hanoi's booth stood out with the theme "Hanoi - Vibrant every moment", introducing the image of the Capital rich in identity and friendliness. Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism, said that this is an opportunity to promote unique heritages such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Co Loa, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Duong Lam ancient village... along with tourism products to experience traditional craft villages, cuisine and arts.

At the booth, visitors are invited to enjoy lotus tea, green rice cakes, peanut candies; experience night tours, explore the suburbs and watch art performances. Hanoi also introduces a series of tourism promotion events in 2025 such as the Ao Dai Festival, Hanoi Autumn Festival, Craft Village - Craft Street and Cuisine Festival.

Not only displaying products, showing promotional clips and distributing free publications, the booth is also a point to connect partners, expanding cooperation with domestic and foreign tourism businesses. Activities at ITE contribute to affirming the position of Hanoi as a destination rich in heritage, multi-experience, attractive to both domestic and international tourists.

Evaluating the fair, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that ITE HCMC 2025 is not only the largest annual international tourism event in Vietnam but also a bridge for Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnamese tourism to reach out to the world. This year, the fair has contributed to stimulating the domestic market, opening up many opportunities for international cooperation, and spreading the message of sustainable development.

The event attracted tens of thousands of visitors, sold thousands of discounted tours and recorded many international cooperation contracts signed. With this result, ITE HCMC 2025 continues to affirm its position as the leading international tourism fair in Vietnam and the region, contributing to making Ho Chi Minh City a dynamic, modern and integrated tourist destination.
