Dong Nai invests more than 2,600 billion VND to build inter-port road, anticipating Long Thanh airport

VTV.vn - The 8.8km long route along the Dong Nai River will connect Nhon Trach ports, anticipating the exploitation of Long Thanh airport in 2026.

On September 27, Dong Nai province officially started the first phase of the inter-port road project with a total capital of more than 2,659 billion VND from the budget. The 8.8km long road along the Dong Nai River connects the ports in Nhon Trach area, bordering Ho Chi Minh City.

The project consists of 2 sections: section 1 is 6.9km long (8 lanes), section 2 is 1.9km long (4 lanes), with 5 bridges, expected to be completed in March 2028.

The project has strategic significance, supporting the development of Nhon Trach urban area, connecting traffic and seaports, anticipating the operation of Long Thanh airport phase 1 from 2026. This is also a step towards forming a logistics chain, riverside industry and developing green, smart urban areas.
