Power supply project for VinFast electric car factory "finished" phase 1 4 months ahead of schedule

(Baohatinh.vn) - Phase 1 of the project to build and renovate the medium voltage power line supplying power to the VinFast Electric Car Manufacturing Plant (Vung Ang Industrial Park, Ha Tinh) was completed 4 months ahead of schedule.

The VinFast Electric Car Factory Project is invested by Vinhomes Ha Tinh Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company. In phase 1, the factory has a designed capacity of 300,000 vehicles/year, expected to increase to 600,000 vehicles/year in the following phases.

In order to supply electricity for the first phase of the VinFast Electric Car Factory, the Northern Power Corporation assigned Ha Tinh Power Company to carry out the project of constructing and upgrading the medium voltage power line to supply electricity to the factory. The renovation, construction of the power line and voltage conversion are aimed at providing stable electricity to the current load, before moving on to another investment phase.

Phase 1 - construction of 0.6 km of 35kV line on AC cross section of 120mm ² is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. With the close direction of the leaders of the Northern Power Corporation and Ha Tinh Power Company and the spirit of determination of the Ha Tinh Power Project Management Board, the Ky Anh Regional Power Management Team and the contractor, to date, phase 1 has been completed, nearly 4 months ahead of schedule.

Ha Tinh Electricity Company continues to focus on completing phase 2 of the project, expected to be completed on August 20.

Currently, Ha Tinh Electricity Company is focusing on completing phase 2, expected to be completed on August 20; at the same time, speeding up investment preparation to install the 40MVA-110/35/22kV T2 transformer at the 110kV Vung Ang Station and medium voltage feeders, striving to complete in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The project is aimed at ensuring stable power supply for the VinFast Electric Car Manufacturing Factory.

The early completion of phase 1, determination to finish phase 2 to ensure progress and early implementation of the next items will ensure stable power supply for VinFast Electric Car Factory, contributing to promoting industrial and economic development in the region and affirming the role of Ha Tinh in the production - logistics chain of the North Central region.
