Phu Yen tourism flourishes in early spring

Speaking to Nhan Dan Newspaper reporters, Director of Phu Yen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thi Hong Thai said that the total number of tourists to Phu Yen during Tet, from February 10 to February 14 (the first to the fifth day of Tet) is estimated at 105,000, an increase of 10.6% over the same period last year; including 650 international visitors, an increase of 17% over the same period.

The special national relic Ganh Da Dia (An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district) attracts a lot of visitors during Tet.

Of which, the total number of guests staying is estimated at 59,500, up 1.3% over the same period last year. The average room occupancy rate is over 60%, with large-scale hotels alone reaching 90-100%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 192.3 billion VND, up 34% over the same period last year, of which accommodation revenue is 33.6 billion VND.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thai, Phu Yen's famous tourist attractions have more and more visitors during each Tet holiday, such as Ganh Da Dia with 18,976 visitors; Nhan Tower with 12,400 visitors; Bai Mon-Mui Dai Lanh scenic spot with 4,509 visitors...

“Before the Lunar New Year, the Department issued documents directing, guiding, and requesting tourism service businesses to implement activities to welcome and serve tourists, improve service quality; take care of the material and spiritual life of employees and workers at the unit; stabilize service and goods prices, list prices and sell at no higher than the listed price” - Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said.
