The above telegram of the Ministry of Health was also sent to units under and affiliated to the Ministry of Health in the northern and central regions.
According to the Ministry of Health, implementing the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 183/CD-TTg dated October 2, 2025 on quickly concentrating on the consequences of storm No. 10 and floods; the Ministry of Health requests the Departments of Health of the above provinces and cities and units under and directly under the Ministry of Health in the northern and central regions to urgently continue to strictly implement the directives of the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense and the Ministry of Health on focusing on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and floods, quickly stabilizing medical work and taking care of people's health in areas affected by natural disasters.
Repair and restore medical facilities damaged by storms and floods, quickly bring medical examination and treatment back to normal for people, and absolutely do not let people lack places to see a doctor when they are sick.
At the same time, strengthen propaganda for people about personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, and house hygiene immediately after floods (clean the environment as the water recedes); handle flooded wells, dug wells, and water tanks according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health; organize spraying of chemicals to kill insects and disease vectors in high-risk areas; take care of health and food hygiene and safety, use clean water; absolutely do not let disease outbreaks occur after floods.
The Minister of Health requested that units under and directly under the Ministry of Health be ready to provide professional support, increase staff, receive seriously ill patients transferred from lower levels; prepare mobile forces for epidemic prevention, support epidemiological surveillance, environmental treatment and vaccination when required.
At the same time, the units reported the damage situation and proposed support needs, sent to the Ministry of Health (through the Department of Planning and Finance, Department of Disease Prevention, Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management) for synthesis, reporting to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
The Ministry of Health requests that the Department of Health of provinces and units under the Ministry of Health seriously and urgently implement this.
