Speaking at the opening ceremony of Nguyen Hue Flower Street on the evening of January 27, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Snake 2025 is not only a special cultural event to welcome the new year but also a symbolic work of a dynamic, creative, modern, and affectionate Ho Chi Minh City every time Tet comes and spring comes.

Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that this year's flower street was built on a grand scale, bearing historical imprints and unique cultural nuances.
With the theme "Brocade and flower country, happy spring", the Tet flower street carries the message "Dance of unity", recalling the historical journeys of the Vietnamese people.
The highlight of the flower street is the pair of snake mascots Kim Ty and Ngan Ty at the entrance. At the end of the flower street is the snake mascot Nang Ty, more than 50m long, more than 10m high, with Southern features with "accessories" such as a checkered scarf and conical hat.
At the same time, the flower street also has more than 90 Ty mascots, expressed in a variety of colors and shapes.
In particular, the Nguyen Hue flower street space for the Lunar New Year 2025 continues to be taken care of by the Consulates General of countries in Ho Chi Minh City through unique flower displays and art arrangements with 10 flower decoration booths, introducing the culture of each country including: USA, Netherlands, Laos, Italy, Indonesia, Korea, Russia, China, Thailand and the UK.
Mr. Thanh Tu, 38 years old (living in District 3), one of the first tourists to join the crowd of people visiting Nguyen Hue Flower Street as soon as it opened, commented that this year's flower street is so beautiful and magnificent.
"It didn't disappoint me. Visiting the flower street in person is more beautiful and magnificent than watching it on social networks."
Similarly, Ms. Thuy Ha (40 years old) said that she and her whole family came from District 12 to the center of Ho Chi Minh City to visit Nguyen Hue Flower Street. Ms. Ha said that this year's flower street was elaborately made and will certainly be a wonderful destination for all residents and tourists.
Considered a cultural symbol of Tet in Ho Chi Minh City, this unique project is organized and implemented by Saigon Tourist Group, in coordination with departments, agencies and businesses, under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
With the theme "Brocade and flower country, happy spring", Nguyen Hue flower street this year will serve the spring sightseeing and enjoyment needs of city residents and tourists from 7pm on January 27 (28th of Tet) to 9pm on February 2 (5th of Tet).
