Glass Bay - Wonder in Vladivostok, Russia

Between the solidified volcanic cliffs and black sand, the sea has polished thousands of colorful pieces of glass over the centuries, turning them into sparkling gems on the beach.

Located on the shores of Ussuri Bay, just 10km from the city of Vladivostok, Glass Bay is one of Russia's most unusual places.

Here, between the solidified volcanic lava cliffs and black sand, the sea has polished thousands of colorful pieces of glass over the centuries, turning them into sparkling gems scattered across the beach.

The unusual surface of the beach has an unromantic origin and is linked to the landfill in Gornostay Bay. It is from there that, for many years, broken glass, bottles, tiles and other solid waste have been carried out to sea, then washed ashore by the waves in Glass Bay./.
