Ninh Binh is rushing to complete the final work to prepare for a Festival that promises to bring special and meaningful feelings to people and tourists.
3 in 1 moving stage
The highlight of the 3rd Ninh Binh Festival 2024 is the Opening Night, taking place at 8:00 p.m. on November 24, 2024 at Dinh Tien Hoang De Square, Ninh Binh City, with the theme "The Golden Age of the Ancient Capital". One of the new features this year is the stage designed with 3-in-1 movement, recreating the golden age of the 3 oldest capitals in the history of the Vietnamese nation.
Director and scriptwriter Le Hai Yen shared that the theme "Heritage Flow" was inspired by the historical journey of the Vietnamese people - the journey of establishing, moving and settling the capital of the emperors. The journey will connect the heritage with three highlights, the three ancient capitals: Hoa Lu Capital, Thang Long Capital and Hue Capital - all of which are UNESCO-recognized World Cultural Heritages, a flow of more than a millennium of Vietnamese history. That historical flow has formed unique and valuable cultural, historical and architectural heritages of the nation, lasting over time.
On the Festival stage, the art program will vividly recreate from the great military exercises, to the journey of establishing, moving, settling, protecting and expanding the glorious territory of the Emperors. Accordingly, the art of light is also a story full of creative inspiration. In addition, resonating in the historical story about the quintessence of the ancient capitals are art performances imbued with the cultural identity of Hoa Lu and many cultural regions throughout the country.
A new feature of the Ninh Binh Festival is the space of Duc Thuy Son Assembly Hall, held in Ninh Binh city. Thuy Mountain Park will become an outdoor contemporary poetry exhibition space, combined with the experience of enjoying tea, reciting poetry, watching the moon, listening to traditional music in folk style. In this poetic cultural and artistic space, there are ancient tea tables with tea makers dressed in ancient costumes, and the display of poems carved on Duc Thuy Mountain is decorated with installation art...
Traditional costume consultant Nguyen Duc Loc shared that there will be many interesting experiences for the public, especially messages about values, culture, history, and a bridge to spread love for the traditional quintessence of the nation, through the traditional costumes present at Ninh Binh Festival 2024.
Cultural and tourist events of important significance
The 3rd Ninh Binh Festival will take place with many outstanding activities such as the Festival opening art program; "Duc Thuy Son" Assembly Hall; "Ninh Binh - Sao Mai Convergence" art program; Street festival, boat parade; exchange with international music groups; Festival closing with a contemporary folk music party connecting generations of music lovers called "Í a Fest"...
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province, said that this is an important cultural and tourism event that contributes to building and positioning the brand of the province's millennium heritage city; at the same time, promoting the image, culture and people of Ninh Binh and other regions in the country to domestic and international tourists. The organization of Ninh Binh Festival 2024 contributes to arousing love for the homeland, pride in the long history and rich heritage of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu; stimulating tourism; connecting the experience journey of people and tourists through new, attractive and unique art and entertainment performances on an international scale, imbued with the cultural identity of the nation, locality, region and area.
The Provincial Department of Culture and Sports has drafted the working regulations of the Festival Organizing Committee, regulations on financial management and sources of funding for the Festival; plans to ensure traffic flow, electricity, security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention, fire fighting, bomb and mine clearance, etc. to serve the series of events of the Ninh Binh Festival in 2024 to ensure the set schedule. Propaganda and communication work about the Festival has been promoted.
Standing Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Tong Quang Thin, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, emphasized that the organization of the Festival must ensure economy, practicality, efficiency, promote the sense of responsibility, initiative and creativity of each agency and unit assigned to tasks, while strengthening close coordination between agencies and units in the province and provinces and cities participating in the Festival in organizing activities. In particular, units need to pay special attention to doing a good job of welcoming delegates; ensuring absolute safety for items such as stages, stands, fire prevention and fighting, ensuring traffic safety, environmental sanitation, especially cleaning work after organizing events to ensure the Festival is successfully organized.
