GAM advances to MSI 2023 in the UK

On the afternoon of April 23, the biggest Viewing Party ever was organized by GAM, SE and the tournament operators VNG and Riot. With four bridges in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Da Nang, this is the first time in Vietnam that two teams considered arch-rivals joined hands to create an exciting playground for fans.

The audience was on the edge of their seats with the competition between GAM and SBTC in the League of Legends finals.

Since SBTC was founded, SE and GAM have been considered arch-rivals of each other. However, for the fans, the two sides have joined hands to create an unprecedented atmosphere, a grand event was created by both sides in conjunction with the League of Legends tournament operator in Vietnam, VNG and Riot, to help fans have an experience that was previously only available in strong regional countries such as LCK or LPL.

In the Play off stage, SBTC showed a completely different face. They went to game 5 with GAM in the winner's bracket final and crushed CES 3-0 in the loser's bracket to have a rematch with GAM in the grand final.

However, unlike the fans' expectations, SBTC let GAM take a 2-0 lead too quickly. In game 3, the "Red Chicken" seemed to wake up when they raised Slayder, thereby overwhelmingly winning GAM, shortening the score to 2-1, bringing hope to their fans. In game 4, with a dream start when Slayder continued to be good, Dia1 held Sylas and tore apart the opponent's formation. When the fans were thinking about game 5, GAM said no. From a disastrous dragon fight, SE was wiped out and GAM regained the advantage, the match slipped out of SE's hands regretfully.

GAM team entered to take the championship and officially became the team in London (England) to represent Vietnam region (VCS) to compete in MSI.

Ending the Spring season with the championship belonging to GAM, the road ahead is a big challenge for GAM when at MSI the opponents they will meet are T1, GEN.G... where even a small mistake will cost a lot.
