Nearly 300 candidates scored 9.75 points in the literature subject of the 2025 high school graduation exam

(Dan Tri) - In the 2025 high school graduation exam, a total of 293 candidates achieved a score of 9.75 in literature, a sharp decrease compared to 2024.

According to a quick analysis by Dan Tri reporter, in the 2025 high school graduation exam, no candidate scored 10 points in literature.

The highest score was 9.75 and 289 candidates achieved this score in the 2018 new general education program exam and 4 candidates achieved it in the 2006 old program exam.

Next, in the new program, there are 3,768 candidates scoring 9.5 points, 11,096 candidates scoring 9.25 points, and 25,904 candidates scoring 9 points.

In the old program, the number of candidates achieving scores were 130 - 228 - 442 respectively.

The total number of candidates scoring 9 or higher in both programs is 42,211, down nearly half compared to 2024.

The 2024 high school graduation exam has a different score distribution for literature with a sharp increase in the number of scores from 9 and above in this subject.

Last year, the country had 2 candidates who scored 10 points in literature from Nam Dinh and Dong Thap. The score of 9.75 had 1,843 candidates, the score of 9.5 had 14,198 candidates, the score of 9.25 had 26,758 candidates, the score of 9 had 49,254 candidates. The total number of candidates with 9 points or more was 92,055 candidates.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training , Nghe An students have the highest score in the 2025 high school graduation exam in literature with over 8 points.

The 2025 high school graduation exam score distribution for literature this year has many special things. No candidate scored 10 points, but 301 candidates scored 9.5-9.75 points. The average score of 1.126 million candidates is 7.0 points.

Notably, in the top 10 provinces with the highest average score in literature, Nghe An leads with 8,035 points. The total number of candidates in Nghe An is about 39,000.

The other 9 provinces and cities in the top 10 are: Ha Tinh, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Can Tho, Phu Tho, Hue, Quang Ninh, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2025, the whole country will have a total of more than 1.16 million candidates taking the high school graduation exam, of which nearly 25,000 candidates will take the 2006 general education program and the remaining 1.13 million candidates will take the current program.
