Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union.
The political report presented at the congress showed that, in the past term, the Fatherland Front of Tan Phuoc ward and its member organizations have effectively promoted their role as a bridge between the Party, the government and the people. Patriotic emulation movements, especially "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" and "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods", have spread widely, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, creating high consensus in society.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the congress aims to innovate the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the ward in a practical, effective and modern direction; strengthen propaganda, mobilization and application of digital technology .
The two key breakthroughs are developing a team of young cadres, improving the quality of grassroots activities and promoting digital transformation in management and connecting with the people.
Speaking at the congress, comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc emphasized that Tan Phuoc is standing on the threshold of a breakthrough. The challenges of urbanization and social security are intertwined with the golden opportunities from logistics development. The Front's work needs systematic thinking and breakthrough actions to accompany this transformation process.
Comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc pointed out 3 key tasks for the new term, including: Building a diverse and prosperous community based on logistics and smart urban platforms, ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital age; Improving the quality of movements associated with comprehensive social security and seaport culture, creating a humane and modern living and working environment for workers.
At the same time, localities promote the role of supervision and social criticism in infrastructure and urban development projects, ensuring harmony between people's interests and sustainable growth goals.
The congress elected 48 official members and 3 alternate members to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Phuoc ward for the 2025-2030 term; comrade Ngo Thi Hong Bich was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward for the new term.
On the same afternoon, the socio-political organizations of Tan Phuoc ward also completed the election of personnel for the new term, ensuring proper procedures, democracy and high consensus.
