Along with the 95-year history of the Vietnam Women's Union, Lai Chau women have gone through a difficult but also very proud development process. Up to now, the Lai Chau Provincial Women's Union has 38 Union bases, 956 branches, with over 90,000 members participating regularly, the women's participation rate reaching nearly 70%. In the period of 2021-2025, the Union at all levels has registered and implemented more than one hundred practical models and emulation movements, associated with the local political tasks. Typical examples include: The model "Women help each other develop the economy", supporting over 13,800 poor women's households to borrow capital, escaping poverty sustainably. The campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" has been registered by over 90% of member households, actively contributing to the new rural construction program; The movement "Lai Chau women study, create, start a business" has supported over 10 models of women starting businesses and established 9 cooperatives owned by women...

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Sung A Ho - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged, commended and congratulated the results and achievements that the Women's Unions at all levels and women in the province have achieved in the past time. He suggested that in the coming time, Women's Unions at all levels should make efforts to carry out propaganda, education and mobilization work to promote good traditions, patriotism, and belief in the Party and the socialist regime; promote patriotic emulation movements, associated with the implementation of the province's political tasks, especially in economic development, poverty reduction, and new rural construction; proactively advise the Party Committee and authorities to promulgate and effectively implement mechanisms and policies to support women in their comprehensive development, especially women in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

Representatives of young female entrepreneurs shared stories about their journey to establish themselves and their careers, affirming the role of young women in economic development, innovation and spreading positive energy to the community.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union awarded the "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" Medal to 42 individuals with many contributions to the Union's work.
