Sharing with PV. VietNamNet, Mr. Trung (Hai Ba Trung) said that he works as a food vendor. Yesterday, seeing many people buying gold, he decided to take a day off to go buy gold for his son's wedding.

“I hope the gold price will continue to drop this morning and the store will sell without limit, because I want to buy about 3-4 taels of gold,” Mr. Trung said.

However, at 9:30, when the two Bao Tin Minh Chau gold shops opened for sale, the staff suddenly announced that today each person could only buy 1 round gold ring; contrary to yesterday when the gold shop sold unlimited. Customers still had to take a number and wait for their turn to buy gold.

After hearing the announcement, Mr. Trung was stunned because he had taken a day off from selling but had only bought 1 tael of gold. "If I had known this, I would not have come again. It was a waste of time and income, and I could not buy enough gold," he said dejectedly.

Ms. Lan (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) also expressed her indignation: "I left early in the morning with the intention of buying 2-3 taels of gold to pay off my debt, but the gold shop only sold 1 tael. I felt extremely disappointed."

According to the reporter's records, within just 5-10 minutes of opening, both gold shops on the "gold street" Tran Nhan Tong of Bao Tin Minh Chau had 50 waiting numbers. The staff said that this morning, the number of customers was limited to about 50-60 people.

Ms. Mai (Cau Giay, Hanoi) said she was not happy because she could only buy 1 tael of gold, but it was better than not being able to buy anything. "This morning, it was very difficult to park my car in to buy gold. I had to park 300 meters away from the gold shop because the staff informed me that today there would be a limit on parking in front of the gold shop," she said.

On the morning of November 15, according to observations, the number of customers coming to trade was not as large as yesterday. The time when customers gathered in large numbers was early in the morning, before the gold shop opened for sale. When the announcement was made that each customer could only buy a maximum of 1 tael of gold, many people were shocked and left in anger.

Meanwhile, the area outside the store is still full of people "holding gold". Whenever a customer comes to the store to trade, they will approach to offer to buy it back at a price 500,000 VND/tael higher than the official buying price.

Posing as someone who wanted to sell gold, the reporter was approached by someone who said: "I accept unlimited purchases, sell gold to me, I will pay a difference of 500,000 VND/tael compared to the buying price of the gold shop."

Sidewalk shops also saw gold trading. Some people, unable to wait to buy gold in the shops, went out to buy at a higher price to save time.

Today's gold price, November 15, 2024, domestic gold bars and plain rings suddenly increased sharply following the world gold price. Doji plain rings are priced at 81-82.7 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 1 million VND for buying and 600,000 VND for selling. SJC gold rings are listed at 79.3-81.8 million VND/tael, an increase of 300,000 VND/tael (buy).

SJC gold bars remain at 80-83.5 million VND/tael.
