On the morning of July 28, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by companies at 119.6 million VND/tael for buying and 121.1 million VND/tael for selling, stable compared to yesterday.
The price gap between gold bars and gold rings widens
SJC gold bar prices show signs of slowing down after a sharp drop last weekend.
The price of 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold also remained stable at 114.5 million VND/tael for buying and 117 million VND/tael for selling.
Recently, the domestic gold price has fluctuated in line with the world price but with a much narrower amplitude. This has caused the gap between the price of gold bars, gold rings and world gold to grow larger.
The price of SJC gold bars is increasingly widening the gap with world prices.
Although both are 24K gold, the price of SJC gold bars is more than 4 million VND/tael higher than that of gold rings, and about 15 million VND/tael higher than the world price, widening compared to many previous months. In April 2025, there were many times when the price of gold rings was traded higher than that of SJC gold bars.
Many domestic investors continue to wait for the new gold management policy to be issued, which could impact the supply of gold bars and narrow the gap with world prices.
World gold price is equivalent to more than 105 million VND
In the international market, gold prices continued to decline as the new trading week opened. Accordingly, the world spot gold price was at 3,333 USD/ounce, down about 5 USD/ounce compared to the closing price at the end of the week.
Precious metals on the international market continued to fall amid a stable USD. The USD index (DXY) is trading around 97.65 points.
This week, gold prices are waiting for information related to US economic data, interest rate policy meetings of some central banks, especially information about tariffs of the US and other countries before August 1. These factors will affect gold prices.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 105.8 million VND/tael.
