VTV AOSmith Pickleball Open 2025: Top competition, community connection

The VTV AOSmith Pickleball Open 2025 tournament takes place from October 24 to 26 in Hanoi, attracting 700 professional and amateur players, promising to bring top matches.

Today (October 1) in Hanoi , Vietnam Television (VTV) and TD Media Company announced the VTV AOSmith Pickleball Open 2025. Accordingly, the tournament will take place from October 24 to 26 at Happyland field cluster with professional management of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, with the media accompaniment and coordination of Vietcontent.

The organizing committee announced the VTV AOSmith Pickleball Open 2025 tournament.

The tournament is expected to gather nearly 700 domestic and foreign athletes, competing in 11 events, with a total prize value of more than 1 billion VND. Many famous players such as Nguyen Dac Tien, Nguyen Anh Thang (Anh Chu Pickleball) and outstanding young players in the pickleball community will participate in the tournament. In addition, there will be the participation of artists, singers, actors, MCs, celebrities and businessmen, contributing to spreading pickleball to the public.

Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh - Deputy General Director of VTV shared: "Pickleball is a sport that has just appeared in Vietnam but has attracted a large number of players thanks to its easy accessibility. VTV's cooperation with TD Media and partners and sponsors to organize VTV AOSmith Pickleball Open 2025 aims to contribute to spreading and developing the Vietnamese pickleball movement. In addition, the tournament organizers will also organize a charity fundraising program to support the Tam Long Viet Fund - a humanitarian activity towards the community of the tournament."

Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department said that the pickleball movement in Vietnam is developing strongly, with many tournaments featuring the participation of top Vietnamese and international athletes. "The attractive prize structure, the participation of many excellent Vietnamese and international athletes, and the referee team of the Vietnam Sports Department will be factors that help VTV AOSmith Pickleball Open 2025 become an attractive and successful tournament, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese pickleball movement", Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen expected.

According to the schedule, the organizing committee will accept registrations from September 30 to October 16, then announce the competition table and schedule on October 20. The competition categories include men's doubles, open mixed doubles; men's doubles, women's doubles, amateur mixed doubles for over 35 years old; men's doubles, women's doubles, amateur mixed doubles under 35 years old; men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles for artists, celebrities, and businessmen. In addition to prizes ranging from 5 million to 60 million VND for each category, the organizing committee will also award the title of best athlete of the tournament with a prize of 20 million VND. The matches of the tournament will be broadcast live on VTVgo, VTV Sports fanpage.
