On the evening of September 18, a cultural exchange event took place in Hanoi , titled “Wind and moon under one sky, Mountains and rivers connecting Vietnam and China”. The event was organized by the Press Information Office and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government (China).
At the program, performances by Chinese and Vietnamese artists praised the close friendship between the Chinese and Vietnamese peoples; at the same time, enriched the cultural and spiritual connection between the two peoples.

Group dance performances such as “Riding the Moon to Come”, “Lotus Painting”, circus “Youth”, Chinese traditional musical instrument performance “High Mountain Flowing Water”, song “Vietnam, Vietnam!”... were performed against the backdrop of beautiful natural images and friendly Vietnamese people, contributing to promoting Vietnam as a destination to Chinese tourists.
The organizers also displayed paintings introducing the beautiful landscapes and people of Yunnan province, China; and traditional cakes and tea of Yunnan province...
Speaking at the program, Mr. Vuong Quan, Ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, shared that Vietnam and China always maintain good diplomatic relations. In China, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the Reunion Festival, a day for families to reunite and have fun.
The Mid-Autumn Festival cultural exchange activity “Wind and moon under one sky, Mountains and rivers connecting Vietnam and China” not only introduces the traditional cultural beauty of China to the Vietnamese people but also aims to honor the unique cultural beauty of the two countries, strengthening solidarity between the two peoples.
In the first 8 months of 2024, the number of Chinese tourists to Vietnam exceeded 2.4 million, accounting for over 21% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. Since the beginning of the year, China-Vietnam economic and trade cooperation has developed strongly. After 7 months, bilateral trade turnover reached 145 billion USD, an increase of more than 20% over the same period last year.
