In recent years, the inclusion of national cultural identity into extracurricular activities has been increasingly focused on by schools and educational institutions in the province. Cultural experiences help children love, understand and be aware of preserving the traditional values that exist around them.

Recently, more than 200 students of Le Quy Don Secondary School (Dak Lieng Commune) participated in activities to experience the traditional culture of the M'nong people. In the peaceful village space, they were instructed to make handmade pottery, watched artisans perform gongs, learned about traditional musical instruments and cultural stories associated with community life. H'Nhip Eung (student of class 6A) could not hide his excitement: "When I touched the clay and tried to mold it into a vase, I realized that making a handmade product requires the effort and creativity of artisans. Besides, I also heard the sound of gongs resounding in the village. I think those values are really precious for us to learn and preserve."

As for La Quy Dung (student of class 7B), this experience was not only a day out but also the first time he directly observed and experienced pottery making and enjoyed gong culture. He felt proud to live in a place with so many unique traditional cultural features.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, Principal of Le Quy Don Secondary School, said: Extracurricular activities like this are a practical way to bring national culture closer to the young generation. “We want students to not only learn culture through books but also to touch and feel it with all their senses. When they understand the meaning of each traditional cultural feature, they will form a sense of respect and responsibility to preserve it. This is part of the school's comprehensive educational orientation,” Ms. Phuong expressed.

Recently, an experience session at Pa Me Village Tourist Area (Ea Phe Commune) brought students of Doraemon Private Kindergarten (Krong Nang Commune) a meaningful space to both play and learn. Through activities such as watching artisans perform Tinh lute, then singing, learning about culture and participating in making five-color bracelets - a handicraft with important meaning in the culture of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups, the children were exposed to traditional culture.

Ms. Dang Thi Minh Hang, a teacher at Doraemon Private Kindergarten, shared: “Children absorb knowledge very quickly, especially through experiential activities. Therefore, we choose to bring children to real cultural spaces so that they can feel and remember through emotions and actions. What children see, hear, and touch today can be the foundation for nurturing a love of culture throughout their growing up journey.”

In fact, many schools in the province are actively integrating cultural identity experiences into their extracurricular education programs. No longer mere extracurricular activities, these activities are increasingly invested in both content and form with the participation of artisans, local communities and vibrant cultural preservation spaces. Through this, students are not only equipped with knowledge and skills but also learn to love their homeland from the simplest things. When today's young generation grows up in a learning space rich in knowledge and imbued with love for culture, they will become the ones who preserve and continue the national identity in the future.
