Tornadoes and heavy rains affect recovery efforts in communes affected by natural disasters in Nghe An.

On the afternoon of August 5, a whirlwind occurred in My Ly commune (Nghe An), and some other communes and villages had heavy rain, affecting the recovery work.

Informing Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television, Mr. Luong Van Bay - Chairman of My Ly Commune People's Committee said that on the afternoon of August 5, a tornado occurred in the commune.

Although it did not cause major damage, the tornado also blew away some tents that people had set up to stay in while waiting to repair their houses affected by the recent floods.

Previously, My Ly commune also had quite heavy rain, but it did not last long. Other localities such as Muong Tip commune and Nhon Mai commune also recorded heavy rains.

Because many roads are still landslides and mud has not been cleared, when it rains, it makes it difficult for vehicles to travel to provide relief and support to people and local authorities to overcome the consequences of the flood.
