Scotland's Celine Boutier set a -15 win mark, two strokes ahead of runner-up at the 2023 Women's Scottish Open, a week after winning the Evian Championship major in her native France.

Boutier won the Women's Scottish Open on August 6 at the Dundonald Links par-72 course. She finished the third round at -13, three strokes ahead of her nearest rival.

In the final round, Boutier faced pressure from many major winners such as Patty Tavatanakit, Kim A Lim, and Kim Hyo Joo. However, Boutier still maintained her lead, even though it was only one stroke at times. After a birdie on hole 13, she regained her three-stroke lead from the beginning of the match. However, after two bogeys in the next three holes, Boutier dropped to -14, continuing to hold the top spot but the gap was narrow. At that time, Kim Hyo Joo was the closest, finishing with a score of -13 and becoming Boutier's biggest rival. Under that pressure, the new Evian Championship champion went to hole 17 and made a birdie with a six-meter putt.

This shot helped Boutier to -15 later into the winning mark when combined with a close par score at hole 18. Boutier received $300,000, Kim received $167,300 for second place overall.

"I never imagined I could win two trophies back to back like this. This achievement shocked me and I temporarily lost control of my emotions," Boutier said after lifting the trophy at Dundonald Link.

A week before the Women's Scottish Open, Boutier won the Evian Championship with a score of -14 on the par-71 course, thereby becoming the first native golfer to win the championship and setting a record of six strokes for the first-second margin in the history of a women's major in France.

With the recent Women's Scottish Open, Boutier has won a total of five cups in six years on the LPGA Tour, including three in the last five months. With this achievement, she maintains the title of "the French player with the most cups in the US women's golf tournament system".

Boutier, 29, has a Thai father and mother. She graduated from Duke University in North Carolina, USA, majoring in psychology and economics .
