Pepper prices are forecast to remain mostly flat this week. The main reason is that the supply from the new crop has just begun to appear, while both sellers and buyers tend to "hold on to their stocks".

They expect prices to rise further in the final months of the year, leading to sluggish trading. In the absence of strong stimulus factors, pepper prices are likely to fluctuate within a narrow range.

Looking at the medium-term outlook, many forecasts show that pepper prices are likely to continue to be anchored at high levels and tend to increase slightly in the last months of 2025 and early 2026.

The main reason given is that global supply is expected to decline due to the impact of extreme weather in major producing countries such as Vietnam, India and Indonesia. Meanwhile, import demand from major markets remains stable, especially at the end of the year.

However, the market still needs to be vigilant against risks that could cause prices to fluctuate sharply, such as weather abnormalities or actual harvest yields falling short of expectations.
