Hanoi installs signs on 4 new roads and streets in Bac Tu Liem district

Faced with these challenges, in recent years, the work of renaming streets in Bac Tu Liem district has always achieved outstanding results, highly appreciated by the City, and has basically met the urgent needs of the people. Up to now, Bac Tu Liem district has a total of 76 named streets, including: 39 street names, 37 road names - 24 names of famous people, 52 names of places.

According to Resolution No. 05/2023/NQ-HDND dated July 4, 2023 of the Hanoi People's Council and Decision No. 4136/QD-UBND dated August 17, 2023 of the Hanoi People's Committee, Bac Tu Liem district has been unanimously named by the City People's Council and People's Committee for 4 streets: Nguyen Duy Thi, Luu Co, Duong Van An (belonging to Xuan Tao ward) and Pham Tien Duat Street (belonging to Co Nhue 2 ward).

Each street name is carefully considered and calculated by specialized agencies and the City Science Council for its suitability with the history, culture, and development process of each locality, as well as its suitability with the technical infrastructure of each street.

Naming the streets has contributed to breathing life into the streets the cultural, historical and traditional values ​​of the locality; through this, it also aims to beautify the urban area and build the streets to become civilized and modern, to gradually perfect the criteria for building cultural residential groups, cultural agencies and units and wards that meet civilized urban standards, moving towards building Bac Tu Liem district to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

Emphasizing that street naming is an important and necessary issue in people's lives as well as urban management, especially in a big city with a long history like Hanoi.

To effectively carry out the work of renaming streets in Bac Tu Liem district in the following years, Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong requested that all levels and sectors in the district continue to promote the dissemination of regulations of the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi city on the work of renaming streets in order to introduce the meaningful content of the streets in the area, and at the same time propagate people to comply with the provisions of the law on renaming streets.

Along with continuing to mobilize and propagate the Management Board of Urban Areas in the district to urgently hand over the roads in the urban area that have been used stably to continue to propose the City to name them according to regulations, it is necessary to have synchronous solutions, invest in construction, and upgrade the roads, especially the rural traffic routes (old), which do not meet the technical infrastructure criteria to propose naming.
