On the morning of October 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training sent an urgent notice to the People's Committees of wards, communes and affiliated schools about proactively responding to heavy rain caused by storm No. 11.

The announcement stated that, based on the forecast bulletin at 5:00 a.m. on October 6 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 11 had entered mainland China and weakened rapidly.

Hanoi area is not affected by storm winds, however from noon to night on October 6, there is a possibility of heavy rain, locally very heavy rain (50-100mm, some places over 150mm), with a risk of local flooding in low-lying areas with poor drainage.
