In Hai Phong , at around 10:30 a.m. the same day (September 29), a tornado suddenly appeared in the old Vinh Bao district, accompanied by heavy rain, sweeping through many communes, causing serious consequences.

According to initial statistics, Vinh Hai commune had more than 12 broken electric and lighting poles; 30 houses collapsed and had their roofs blown off; Linh Dong 4 village cultural house and Tien Phong Kindergarten were severely damaged; more than 30 hectares of rice and vegetables were destroyed.

Nguyen Binh Khiem commune had 1 injured person; 53 houses had their roofs blown off and ceilings collapsed; 5 electric poles and many trees were broken; Hoa Binh Kindergarten had its surrounding walls collapsed and 4 outdoor playgrounds and many classroom learning equipment damaged; more than 12 hectares of rice and vegetables were damaged. In addition, some buildings such as Tay Linh pagoda and Nguyen Binh Khiem commune health station also had their doors broken and their roofs blown off...

In a related development, due to the impact of storm No. 10, Khuc Thua Du commune (Hai Phong city) also suffered quite heavy damage, many houses and public works were damaged, there are currently no specific statistics.

This afternoon, the authorities of the above localities mobilized forces, with the core being the police of communes under the Hai Phong City Police and local forces, to focus on initially supporting affected people to restore their lives and gradually overcome the consequences.

In Quang Ninh province, at around 1 p.m. the same day (September 29), a tornado suddenly appeared with heavy rain, lasting nearly 40 minutes in Dam Ha commune.

As a result, the tornado injured 9 people and they had to be taken to medical facilities for treatment, including 3 seriously injured people who were transferred to a higher-level hospital.

The tornado also blew off the roofs of 15 houses; Dam Ha Secondary School suffered severe damage to the principal’s house, several classrooms and the garage; Dam Ha 2 Kindergarten had the roof blown off a classroom block and the classroom door system damaged. In addition, many trees, electric poles, billboards, etc. were also broken.

Currently, the People's Committee of Dam Ha commune is mobilizing local forces to coordinate with local people to focus on overcoming the consequences, with immediate priority given to health care and restoring the lives of affected people, while coordinating with the electricity sector to repair damaged infrastructure to restore power to the area.
