The province is currently managing 2,329 drug users, 1,837 addicts and 1,145 people in post-rehabilitation management. With the determination to build a "drug-free commune", the Board of Directors of Vinh Long Provincial Police has directed the police of wards, communes and police stations to focus on leading and directing the synchronous and drastic implementation of drug prevention and control solutions with the spirit of "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear time, clear results", gradually curbing drug crimes, preventing "early, from afar, from the starting point".

Vinh Long Provincial Police strives to achieve the target of 20% of commune-level administrative units being drug-free by the end of 2025 (equivalent to 25 communes), creating a premise to complete the task of 50% of commune-level administrative units being drug-free by 2030.
Reality shows that only when people proactively accompany the government and the police force, the fight against drugs can be truly sustainable and comprehensive.
