Born in 1978, Kewell played for Liverpool from 2003 to 2008, making his mark in both the Premier League and Europe. At the national team level, he played 56 times for Australia, scoring 17 goals and participating in two World Cups (2006, 2010).
After retiring, Kewell began his coaching career in 2015 with Watford's youth team, then led Crawley Town, Notts County, Oldham Athletic and Barnet. In 2024, this coach moved to Asia to work with Yokohama F. Marinos (Japan) and helped the team win the runner-up position in the 2023/24 season.

Hanoi FC's recruitment of Harry Kewell is considered a bold move, showing the ambition to not only conquer the V-League but also reach the continental arena. Meanwhile, Mr. Yusuke Adachi will return to the role of technical director after three matches as interim manager of the team.
Kewell's appearance promises to bring a breath of fresh air to Hanoi FC, while opening up expectations for a new chapter for Vietnamese football at the club level.
