The expected date of transfer of shares is expected in 2025 and by the end of the second quarter of 2026 after completing issuance procedures at the competent authorities. After successful conversion, Sky Capital Advisor Pte. Ltd increased its ownership ratio from 13.3 million shares to nearly 78.9 million shares, equivalent to 2.044% ownership ratio at HDBank. The remaining two foreign shareholders own nearly 142 million shares, equivalent to 3.689% ownership ratio of HDBank's capital.
HDBank also increased the foreign shareholder ownership ratio from 16.569% to 24.149%. The bank said that the shareholder converting from bonds in this round is a reputable investor with a long-term holding orientation, accompanying HDBank. The plan is expected to be implemented in 2025 until the end of the second quarter of 2026 after being approved by the competent authority. These shares will not be subject to transfer restrictions. After increasing charter capital, HDBank (parent bank) aims to increase total assets by 27% and after-tax profit by 26% in 2025.
At the same time, HDBank plans to sell all of its treasury shares, which are more than 15 million shares, by order matching and/or negotiation, between October 2 and October 29. HDBank said the purpose of this is to increase the number of outstanding shares and supplement medium- and long-term capital for the bank's operations.
At the end of the second quarter of 2025, HDBank achieved over VND 4,713 billion in pre-tax profit and the accumulated profit for the first 6 months of the year reached VND 10,068 billion - the highest semi-annual profit ever and exceeded the threshold of VND 10,000 billion. As of June 30, 2025, HDBank's total assets exceeded VND 784,000 billion, up 12.4% compared to the beginning of the year. Mobilization of VND 664 trillion increased by 7%. Outstanding loans exceeded VND 517,000 billion, up 18.2% compared to the beginning of the year and nearly twice the industry average (up 9.9%), focusing on priority areas such as infrastructure, production, consumption, etc.
