The exhibition of achievements in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology , took place from August 28 to September 5 at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (VEC). The event is part of the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Here, visitors have the opportunity to admire dozens of valuable artifacts, demonstrating the important contributions of the science , technology, post and telecommunications sectors in the country's historical periods.

The period of resistance and nation building (1945-1954)

This period is characterized by the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement. The exhibition displays Bazooka and SKZ guns improved and manufactured by engineer Tran Dai Nghia and his colleagues. In November 1946, engineer Tran Dai Nghia researched and produced Bazooka bullets with penetration power equivalent to American products.

Then, from 1948-1949, he and his colleagues in the Military Ordnance Department continued to manufacture the SKZ recoilless rifle, weighing 20 kg, with a concave bullet, capable of penetrating thick concrete. The Vietnamese SKZ rifle first entered combat in the Pho Lu battle and contributed to the destruction of many enemy bunkers.

Another important artifact is the 100 kg Hugo telegraph, used to transmit revolutionary orders and orders for national resistance in December 1946.

In addition, some other artifacts such as: The document tube of Son La's traffic officer during the resistance war against France, the postage stamp set with the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh in 1946 were also recreated.

The exhibits at the exhibition show the first steps in the country’s development and international integration. The 5-digit stone switchboard produced by the Central Post Office in 1956 is one of the typical artifacts of this period.

In particular, the exhibition displays a miniature model of the Hoa Sen 1 Ground Satellite Communication Station, which was built by the Soviet Union and put into use in Vietnam in 1980.

The MK-42 detonation control head was used by Professor Vu Dinh Cu to research mine clearance during the resistance war against the US, in 1972.

The period of innovation and integration (1986 to present)

The space of the 1986-2025 period is the biggest highlight of the Exhibition, including three sub-areas: Science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, demonstrating the creativity of Vietnamese people in the integration period.

This period marked the remarkable development of science and technology in Vietnam. Artifacts and models such as the 500 kV North-South transmission line project pole, circuit 1 and the VTC digital switchboard, researched and assembled by VTC Company, show the increasingly high level of science and technology of domestic engineers.
