Hoa Binh fines a series of businesses for violating land and environment regulations.

Accordingly, Thanh Hung Hoa Binh Investment Company Limited (headquartered in Dong Bong village, Dong Tam commune, Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province) committed an administrative violation of not having a Certificate of completion of environmental protection works (for each construction item or each phase according to investment phases or the entire project) as prescribed. This company was fined 200 million VND with the remedial measure of completing the environmental license application and submitting it to the competent authority for approval as prescribed.

Son Thuy II Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Mong Hoa commune, Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province) committed an administrative violation: occupying agricultural land, which is rice land, protective forest land, and production forest land in rural areas. This company was fined 210 million VND along with a remedial measure of being forced to continue the procedures for changing the purpose of land use and leasing land according to regulations for cases of land use when the procedures for changing the purpose of land use and leasing land have not been completed;

At the same time, Son Thuy II Company was forced to return the illegal profits obtained from violating the provisions of Point d, Clause 7, Article 14 of Decree No. 91/2019/ND-CP, dated November 19, 2019 of the Government on administrative sanctions in the field of land. The amount the company had to return was more than 228 million VND.

Minh Nguyet Construction Company Limited (headquartered in Muong Cong area, Man Duc town, Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province) committed administrative violations in the field of minerals such as: exploiting more than 10% of one of the parameters of the mining system, including: floor height, floor slope angle; exploiting minerals without a mine design as prescribed; not having a record of handing over boundary markers; not submitting periodic reports on mineral exploitation activities to the competent state management agency as prescribed; not performing statistics and inventory of remaining mineral reserves in the permitted mining area; late payment of environmental protection deposit in mineral exploitation activities; not making a map of the current status and cross-section of the permitted mineral exploitation area.

Minh Nguyet Construction Company Limited was fined a total of more than 532 million VND by Hoa Binh province. The company also voluntarily declared, actively cooperated with the authorities to detect administrative violations and is following the instructions of departments, branches and sectors to carry out procedures to close the mine according to regulations.
