Miss Vietnam competes in Tet 2025 movie

Up to now, the 2025 Tet film projects have been released, attracting attention thanks to their casts, directors, and producers. Although from different directors, the three most prominent films all exploit the story of a "love triangle".

"Love triangle" content dominates the airwaves

After the success of “Bo gia”, “Nha ba Nu” and “Mai”, Tran Thanh continues to return with “Bo thu qua” for Tet 2025. The film is promised to bring a lot of laughter during Tet holidays.

When the trailer was released, the audience couldn't help but be curious about the love story between Quynh Anh (Miss Tieu Vy) - Quoc Anh (Quoc Anh) - Karen (Miss Ky Duyen). The film revolves around the love story of the couple Quynh Anh and Quoc Anh, however, when Karen appeared, everything changed completely.

The line when Karen advised Quynh Anh made an impression on the audience: "Trust me. If a man cannot give you better things than you give yourself, then forget about him." This line also made the audience doubt Karen's real reason for interfering in the relationship between Quynh Anh and Quoc Anh. Many people think that the person Karen is really pursuing is Quynh Anh and maybe this will be a surprise for "The Four Defenders".

Another film that is no less notable is “Love by mistake with a best friend” by directors Nguyen Quang Dung and Diep The Vinh. With this project, the film is expected to exploit the theme of “1 girl, 2 guys” and the troubles in the love triangle of the characters: Binh An (played by Kaity Nguyen) - Bao Toan (played by Tran Ngoc Vang) and Vu Tran (played by Thanh Son).

“Love by mistake” is adapted from the famous Thai movie of the same name, revolving around the love story of two best friends of the opposite sex. Before realizing their feelings for each other, both had to witness each other’s previous painful love stories.

Similar to “Love by mistake”, “Billionaire Kiss” by director Thu Trang also exploits the love triangle story of “1 girl, 2 guys”. The film has the participation of Miss Thien An, Le Xuan Tien and Ma Ran Do. According to the introduction, “The Billion Dollar Kiss” revolves around Van - a bread seller who accidentally meets two guys in an accident. A mature, masculine guy and a wild, individualistic guy also make Van get dragged into a love triangle.

“Love by mistake” and “The Four Guardians” also have another interesting thing in common: both films have the participation of Tran Thanh.

Although appearing in 2 Tet movies, the male artist affirmed that he did not "take on all Tet movies" but this was just a fate during this year's Tet season.

The beauty queens' performance is curious

One of the things that makes the 2025 Tet movie race so exciting is the participation of famous beauty queens such as: Miss Tieu Vy, Miss Thien An, Miss Ky Duyen - names that covered social networks in 2024.

In 2024, Miss Tieu Vy played a small role in the movie "Mai" and in 2025, she was given the main role in "The Four Guardians" by Tran Thanh. Taking on the main role in "The Four Guardians", Tieu Vy admitted that pressure was inevitable. Although there were still many doubts, in the trailer, many viewers felt reassured because the role of Quynh Anh had a personality quite similar to Tieu Vy in real life.

Miss Vietnam 2018 also cut her hair short to suit this role. She is also not afraid to transform into strange images, drowning her beauty in many scenes.

If Tieu Vy has been in the film industry for quite a while, Miss Thien An and Miss Ky Duyen are both new faces. For the first time playing the female lead in a movie, Thien An spent a lot of time honing her acting skills as well as preparing her character mentally: “I felt pressured before the movie started filming and even during filming. Before going to sleep, I always put my hand on my forehead thinking a lot about the role.

Luckily, I was enthusiastically instructed and guided by my seniors to help me feel and create for the character, while also closely following the emotional flow of the story." Before "The Billion Dollar Kiss", Thien An also played the role of Bay Loan in "The Prince of Bac Lieu ", however, it did not really make an impression because it was only a small role.

Also a new face, Miss Ky Duyen surprised everyone with her appearance and voice in the trailer of “The Four Guardians”. Ky Duyen affirmed that cinema is an art field she is passionate about and will seriously pursue. Before that, she also attended an acting course by People’s Artist Le Khanh to improve her skills and knowledge about the 7th art.
