The Miss Ao Dai Vietnam Heritage contest has just concluded in the final night held on January 11, 2025 at the Son Tay Culture - Information and Sports Center, Hanoi City. The final result, Hoang Chau Anh, a 19-year-old beauty from Cao Bang from Hanoi Foreign Trade University, was crowned Miss, winning the prestigious crown.
“Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage” 2024 is the first national competition held in Vietnam, with the desire to honor the Vietnamese Ao Dai. The competition is hosted by the People's Committee of Son Tay Town and the Son Tay Cultural Information Center , Hanoi City, and implemented by QTalent Media Company Limited. People's Artist Tran Binh takes on the role of General Director of the program.

In the behavioral round, beauty Hoang Chau Anh received a question from Miss Ngoc Chau: "The Ao Dai of Vietnamese women has existed for a long time and has gone through many stages and changes in the history of the nation, but until now it still affirms its value and is associated with the image of Vietnamese women. Why do you think it has been kept like that?"
Chau Anh answered bilingually: “In my opinion, the reason why the ao dai can survive through the ups and downs of history and is still closely associated with the image of Vietnamese women is for two main reasons:
Firstly, the ao dai is not only a costume but also a cultural symbol, honoring the beauty of the body and soul of Vietnamese women, gentle, resilient, and full of courage. Over time, the ao dai still holds a special place in the hearts of Vietnamese people, and is the pride of the nation.
Second, the ao dai is always renewed to suit each period without losing its core features. This flexibility helps the ao dai both preserve its traditional identity and become an endless source of inspiration in modern fashion.
For me, the ao dai is the soul of the nation. Every time I put on the ao dai, I feel the cultural beauty and a deep sense of responsibility to preserve and spread that value. If I have the opportunity, I wish to become a bridge, contributing to bringing the image of the ao dai beyond the borders of Vietnam, so that the ao dai is not only a precious heritage of the nation but also becomes an everlasting symbol, affirming its special position in the hearts of Vietnamese people and international friends.
After the behavioral round, the Top 3 were called. The Top 3 included: Ha Hong Gam, Hoang Chau Anh and Do Thu Hien.
TOP 3 Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024
In the end, with convincing answers and impressive performances, surpassing 30 best contestants, Beauty Hoang Chau Anh (contestant number 28) from Cao Bang was splendidly crowned Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024.
In addition to the Miss title, Hoang Chau Anh also won two additional awards: Talented Beauty and Best Behaving Beauty.
The title of 1st runner-up was given to contestant Do Thu Hien (candidate number 136 from Quang Ninh prison); 2nd runner-up was given to contestant Ha Hong Gam (candidate number 069 from Thanh Hoa); 3rd runner-up was given to contestant Nguyen Thi Thao (candidate number 070 from Hai Duong) and 4th runner-up was given to contestant Le Thi Ngoc Lan (candidate number 007 from Thanh Hoa).
Top 6 contestant is Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien (candidate number 036 from Phu Tho) and Top 7 contestant is Bui Quynh Anh (candidate number 087 from Bac Giang).
In addition, the title of National Green Environment Media Ambassador was awarded to the 2nd and 4th runner-ups.
Along with the crown, the new Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024 received a prize worth 500 million VND from the Organizing Committee.
The prize for first runner-up is 300 million VND, second runner-up is 200 million VND; third runner-up is 150 million VND and fourth runner-up is 100 million VND.
All prizes come with a Medal and Certificate from the Competition Organizing Committee.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the following subsidiary awards: Inspirational Beauty and Charity Beauty to Le Thi Ngoc Lan; Best Ao Dai to Bui Quynh Anh; Media Beauty to Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien and Evening Gown Beauty to Cao Anh Thu.
