The 2024 National Press Festival will take place from 15

Accordingly, the Vietnam Journalists Association coordinated with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to develop a plan to organize the 2024 National Press Festival with the theme: "Vietnamese Press - Pioneering, Innovative, for the revolutionary cause of the Party and People".

In order to highlight the great achievements and strong development of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, at the same time promote press products associated with the working and creative activities of journalists nationwide; enhance exchanges and meetings between journalists and the public, thereby encouraging the press to best perform its functions and tasks, meeting the people's increasing need for information; enhance the prestige of the Vietnam Journalists Association in journalistic life in particular and social life in general, the Press Association is also an opportunity to commend and encourage the great contributions of units, individuals, organizations and enterprises that have made many positive contributions to the cause of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.

The event was held on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the glorious journey of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024), towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), practically welcoming major events of the country and Ho Chi Minh City: towards the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024); 48 years since Saigon - Gia Dinh City was officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2024),

The participants of the 2024 National Press Festival are the Journalists' Associations and Branches under the Vietnam Journalists' Association; Journalists' Associations of provinces and cities; political , social and professional organizations; Journalism training and research schools and institutes nationwide; units and enterprises. The Press Festival is organized with a spirit of comprehensive innovation and creativity in vision and design, ensuring full representation of the identities of localities nationwide. Through the organization, a series of rich and meaningful activities within the framework of the Press Festival, the message is conveyed to the press public in Ho Chi Minh City about "Civilized, modern lifestyle with sharing".

The 2024 National Press Conference has a national scale with two main contents:

- The Press Festival will include the following activities: Organizing the exhibition of press publications; Organizing the exhibition space for OCOP products; Awarding prizes within the framework of the National Press Festival; Other sideline activities (3rd Journalist and Public Opinion Cup Football Tournament, entertainment and music activities).

- The "National Press Forum" is organized on a large scale, with the participation of many leaders of press agencies nationwide and a number of domestic and international speakers. It is expected that after the opening session of the Forum, there will be 9 seminars and discussions with contents related to the top concerns of press agencies and press management.

Here, experts will discuss and consult on solutions for bringing content to digital platforms; organizing and operating a converged newsroom model; developing social media journalism; producing content according to digital journalism trends (data journalism, visual journalism, creative journalism, etc.); deploying AI, Chatbot, ChatGPT applications; supporting training and fostering knowledge and skills on digital transformation of journalism, etc.

On the sidelines of the Forum, there will be an exhibition of press and media technology equipment and software products with the participation of technology companies.
