More than 1,000 billion VND invested in 4 warehouses at Long Thanh International Airport

The Ministry of Construction has just issued a decision approving project information and selected investors in special cases for the Project to invest in construction and business services of 4 cargo delivery warehouses (numbers 5-8) at Long Thanh International Airport.

Accordingly, the project aims to build cargo delivery warehouses No. 5-8 with the ability to connect and coordinate exploitation with cargo terminal No. 2 and express cargo terminal, meeting the exploitation needs of Long Thanh International Airport phase 1.

The project includes a system of warehouses, equipment, auxiliary items and synchronous technical infrastructure serving production and business, with a cargo transportation capacity of about 650,000 tons/year.

The total initial investment capital is about 1,015 billion VND, implemented on an area of over 15 hectares in area C-04, Long Thanh International Airport. The land for implementing the project has completed site clearance and has been granted a land use right certificate by the Southern Airports Authority.

The project is expected to be implemented in the 2025-2026 period, and put into operation from the completion of investment until December 31, 2050. Regarding the form of investor selection, the Ministry of Construction decides to select in special cases. Vietnam Airlines Corporation is the approved investor.

The Ministry of Construction assigns the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to take full responsibility before the law and the Minister of Construction for the accuracy of information, data, investor capacity and experience records, project implementation plan and proposal evaluation results.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is responsible for organizing the next procedures in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Bidding and related laws, and at the same time completing the signing and management of contracts with investors, ensuring that the project is implemented safely, effectively and synchronously with other works at Long Thanh International Airport under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister./ .
