The quality of military service in Son La in 2025 is higher than in 2024 in all 3 criteria: health type 1, type 2 increased by 1.2%; culture: high school level increased by 1.3%; college and university level increased by 0.6%; 3 party members joined the army; the whole province has 744 citizens writing applications to volunteer to be called up for military service.

The new point in the 2025 military recruitment work is that the Provincial Military Service Council focuses on improving political quality and health; prioritizing the selection of citizens in border areas, remote and isolated areas; citizens with university and college degrees; cadres, civil servants and public employees of military age.

At the military handover ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 2 and Son La province encouraged and placed their trust in the new recruits, and hoped that the new recruits would uphold the traditions of their homeland, strive to train, study, strictly abide by military discipline, and constantly cultivate the moral qualities of revolutionary soldiers, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
