After more than 20 years of development, Thanh Tuyen Festival has gone beyond the local scale to become a national cultural and tourism event, setting many Guinness records such as "Mid-Autumn Festival with the largest number of lantern models in Vietnam", "Largest Mid-Autumn Festival tray in Vietnam". Notably, in 2024, the festival will be officially granted a Certificate of Trademark Registration, affirming its own brand value.
To continue promoting its unique values, in September 2025, Tuyen Quang province issued many documents to adjust the Mid-Autumn Festival lantern display on the streets, while strengthening management work.
Instead of being held daily as before, the lantern procession now only takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings. The models are only allowed to move along a unified route on central streets, in one lane, in the right direction and not stopping on the road.
This adjustment is to ensure traffic safety, limit congestion and not affect the daily life and study of the people. The People's Committees of communes and wards have signed a commitment with the residential groups to comply with the regulations, requiring the group leaders to be responsible for checking the safety of the model before it is put into circulation.
In 2025, the festival will enter a new phase when Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang merge, expanding the venue. The festival will take place on the evening of October 4 (August 13 of the lunar calendar) at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Tuyen Quang) and March 26 Square (Ha Giang), with the art program "Sparkling Colors of Thanh Tuyen Festival Night", elaborately staged, broadcast live on many channels.
