This native brown pear variety in Ly Quoc commune, Cao Bang province also has many valuable genetic characteristics, a unique flavor that few places have and the ability to adapt well to the local ecological conditions. However, currently, the cultivation of this native brown pear variety is facing the risk of serious degradation because people do not pay attention to care, so these pear trees do not grow and develop as expected, leading to poor growth and some trees bear fruit but do not yield harvest. Therefore, the research on the conservation of the native brown pear variety, in addition to having scientific significance, also helps bring profound practical value, in order to preserve and exploit the genetic resources of this native brown pear variety effectively. Along with that, identifying and selecting elite trees, perfecting the breeding, planting and care processes suitable to local natural conditions will be the first step in expanding production scale, towards sustainable agricultural production associated with eco-tourism and experiences, thereby improving the lives of households participating in the model and local people.
