The project to build infrastructure for the urban area east of the central market of Muong Khuong commune is one of the key projects, identified as contributing significantly to changing the appearance of the central urban area, promoting local socio -economic development. However, during the implementation process, there were still difficulties in site clearance. Thanks to the promotion of propaganda, the government has gradually created consensus from the people.

Strengthen propaganda, speed up site clearance

Receiving us at the project area, Na Bu Village Chief Lu Ta Chin happily told us that the most difficult thing for the village was to propagate to the people to agree to implement the project, and so far it has been done.

During the implementation process, some households did not agree and even submitted petitions to the relevant authorities. However, after being persuaded and informed by the commune and village authorities, the households agreed and withdrew their petitions, and at the same time received compensation for site clearance so that the project could continue.

Site clearance is the key step in determining the project's progress. In recent times, the Muong Khuong Area Construction Investment Project Management Board has closely coordinated with the Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to agree to hand over land; at the same time, reviewing each problem location, building a specific clearance roadmap for each area, ensuring that construction is carried out in a rolling manner and does not affect people's lives.

Mr. Bui Si Ngoc, Director of the Muong Khuong Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: The Board has determined the overall goal of completing all compensation, support, and site handover work in 2025.

We are coordinating with the commune government and specialized departments to complete the documents, clearly identify the land origin, and publicize the compensation plan, so that people can feel secure and confident. Along with that, the contractor has mobilized machinery and human resources, taking advantage of favorable weather to construct as soon as the site is available.

Currently, the leveling project has been implemented on the handed-over area. Muong Khuong Commune aims to complete the clearance of the entire site in the last quarter of 2025, creating favorable conditions for the project to enter the main infrastructure construction phase in 2026.

Key projects create a new look for the central urban area

The project to build infrastructure for the urban area east of the central market of Muong Khuong commune is invested by the Muong Khuong Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, with a total investment of more than 72 billion VND from the targeted additional provincial budget and local land use fees.

The site is leveled immediately after land handover.

The project is implemented on an area of over 7.25 hectares in the center of Muong Khuong commune, including the following items: leveling, traffic, water supply and drainage, electricity supply, lighting, trees, communication... Expected to be implemented in the period 2025 - 2028, aiming to build a modern, synchronous urban area, connecting infrastructure with the central market area.

Currently, the construction unit has leveled about 6,400 m² of the total of more than 22,000 ^m² that have been handed over. However, due to heavy rain, wet soil and some households still harvesting crops, the progress has not been as expected.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hung - Chairman of Muong Khuong Commune People's Committee said, "The project to build infrastructure for the urban area east of the central market of Muong Khuong Commune is an important step in the planning of urban space development in Muong Khuong, helping to create more residential land, build a synchronous traffic and infrastructure system. Therefore, the commune requires departments and offices to focus on removing difficulties, especially in the stages of compensation, support, and resettlement to soon hand over the entire clean site to the contractor."
